Primary School
Without support for their education, Maasai youth are at risk. Risk of drop out, early childhood marriage, unemployment and ongoing poverty. An education provides opportunity to reach their full potential and give back to their community in the future.
The Maarifa Foundation also recognises that investing in education is an important factor for achieving long-term conservation outcomes. Our school fee support program set students on a path toward becoming responsible individuals and environmental stewards who increase their families’ incomes, contribute to economic development, and promote harmony between wildlife and society.
Our 50% girl student policy ensures that girls, who are often the first to be overlooked yet are the highest risk of dropping out, are equally supported.
In 2025 we support three primary schools, totalling 80 students who receive school fee support.
